BMW iX4 electric coupe SUV spotted testing
Reported by Manish Reddy (Senior Writer) · Autocar India ·
BMW iX4 electric coupe SUV spotted testing in Germany ahead of its expected debut later this year. The upcoming BMW iX4 is the coupe SUV counterpart to the BMW iX3, which debuted in 2025. The iX4 is likely to preview the fourth generation of the X4 and will also be the first electric version of this coupe SUV. As the name suggests, the iX4's major visual differentiator from the iX3 will be its sharply raked roofline, lending it a sportier appearance. The iX4 will feature BMW's Neue Klasse design language, with a sleek black panel housing the LED headlamps and diagonal daytime running lamps. The front bumper and wide LED tail-lamps are expected to be similar to those of the iX3, but with different alloy wheels and a new boot lid spoiler. The iX4's interior is expected to be identical to that of the iX3, with a rhomboidal 17.9-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 4-spoke steering wheel, and a pillar-to-pillar Panoramic Vision display. Unique interior colour schemes and upholstery options may also be available. The iX4 will likely use the same 800V architecture and 108.7kWh battery pack as the iX3, with a similar powertrain spec. The iX3 has dual motors producing 469hp and 645Nm, a WLTP range of up to 805km, and DC charging speeds of up to 400kW, with a charging time of 21 minutes for 80 percent capacity.
