Hero Glamour X 125 gets ABS, priced at Rs 1.01 lakh
Reported by Deepak Mishra (Copy Editor) · Autocar India ·
Hero MotoCorp has added single-channel ABS to the Glamour X 125, making it the most significant update to the motorcycle since its launch. The addition of ABS is the key change here, preventing the wheel from locking during hard braking while Integrated Braking System (IBS) links the front and rear brakes for balanced braking. The Glamour X 125 now joins TVS Raider 125, Honda CB125 Hornet, and Hero's Xtreme 125R in offering ABS in its class. The Xtreme 125R is also available with dual-channel ABS. The Glamour X 125 comes in Drum and Disc variants, priced at Rs 89,999 and Rs 99,999, respectively, with the new ABS-equipped version costing Rs 1.01 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. The cost of the new ABS-equipped variant is just Rs 1,000 more than the Disc variant. The Glamour X 125 has a 125cc engine producing 11.4hp and features three riding modes, as well as cruise control and connected features. The motorcycle has been launched at a time when ABS is becoming increasingly common in the Indian market. Hero MotoCorp has taken a significant step in improving the safety features of the Glamour X 125. The launch of the new ABS-equipped version marks a major milestone in the history of the motorcycle. The Glamour X 125 is available for purchase in Mumbai's first Blue Square showroom in Ulhasnagar. The company has expanded its dealership network to meet the growing demand for its motorcycles. Hero MotoCorp's move to equip the Glamour X 125 with ABS is seen as a strategic move to stay competitive in the market.
