Carplomacy 4.0: PM Modi, Putin Travel In 'Fortress On Wheels' In Delhi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin travelled together in the Russian leader's armoured Aurus Senat limousine, a 'fortress on wheels', to the INNOPROM exhibition at Bharat Mandapam after their bilateral meeting. The two leaders had previously taken the same car on three other occasions, with the latest joint ride marking their fourth joint car travel. The INNOPROM exhibition is a global platform that brings together manufacturers and buyers from around the world, showcasing cutting-edge technologies and providing a B2B platform for productive networking. Earlier, during their talks, PM Modi gifted Putin a Russian translation of the Thirukkural, a classical Tamil scripture. The translation was seen as a gesture of goodwill, with the Prime Minister stating that it would play a key role in strengthening relations between the two nations. The bilateral talks also focused on trade, energy, defense, space, and people-to-people ties, with the leaders reviewing progress in these areas. The India-Russia Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership remains a key focus area of the two countries' relationship, with the leaders exchanging views on regional and global issues, including conflicts in West Asia and the Black Sea region.
